The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) Diocese of Armidale administers 24 schools 19 primary schools, 2 central schools and 3 secondary schools on behalf of Bishop Michael Kennedy, Bishop of Armidale or his delegate.   

Bishop Michael Kennedy was installed in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle on 17th March 2023.        The College of Consultors of the Diocese of Armidale elected the Diocesan Administrator, Monsignor Edward Wilkes, in accordance with Cannons 416-430.

The Director, Mr Chris Smyth is directly responsible to the Bishop or his delegate through the Armidale Catholic Schools Council. The Catholic Schools Office is situated at Unit 2/131 Barney Street Armidale. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Staff employed and working out of the office provide specific services and support to schools.
