Overview
Armidale Catholic Schools comprises 24 schools; 19 primary schools, 2 central K-10 schools and 3 secondary schools. We educate around 6000 students, and employ approximately 1000 staff. Our schools spread across a wide regional, rural and remote geographical area over the New England and North West regions of NSW.
The Armidale Catholic Schools Office provides system support to schools across a range of areas including; employment services, finance, facilities, ICT, mission, learning, marketing and administration.
Bishop Michael Kennedy was installed in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle on 17th March 2023. The College of Consultors of the Diocese of Armidale elected the Diocesan Administrator, Monsignor Edward Wilkes, in accordance with Cannons 416-430. A new Bishop is yet to be appointed.
The Director of Schools, Regina Menz is directly responsible to the Bishop or his delegate through the Armidale Catholic Schools Board.

Providing a Catholic education to just under 6000 students and employing approximately 1000 staff, our Catholic School system works closely with our Parishes and Parish Priests to further the mission of Jesus.

Our system is culturally diverse with 15.4% of students identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
