Casual Teacher Application

 

Please read the instructions below before you start the online application, to ensure you have the required documents before commencing your application.

 

Documents must be provided in PDF format and all filenames must include your surname and first name and the name of the document (eg: SMITH John – qualifications or SMITH John – ID docs).

 

As part of the application, you will be required to provide the following information and supporting documents,

  • Eligibility to Work in Australia  – for non-residents: a copy of your passport and a valid visa that provides work rights (showing class sub-classification, any conditions, visa type, number, and valid visa date) (Question 20 – upload as part of Question 25)

 

  • A CV that clearly outlines your qualifications and career history and includes position/s, employer/s and dates (Question 22)

 

  • Certified copy of your qualifications/Official Academic Transcripts of completed or in-progress degrees or other tertiary qualifications.  Please note online printouts, unofficial transcripts, and screenshots will not be accepted – please upload all qualifications as one file (Question 23)

 

  • For conditionally accredited teachers copies of all your prac reports – please upload all prac reports as one file (Questions 24)

 

  • Certified copy of 100 Points of Identity, including change of name where applicable – please upload all identification documents as one file  (Question 25)

 

 

 

 

  • Statements of Service (if applicable) – please upload all statements of service as one file (Question 29)

 

Certified means – copies that have been verified as true copies of the original by one of the following:

  • A Justice of the Peace, Armidale, or
  • A Principal or Office Manager/School Secretary of an Armidale Diocesan School, or 
  • An authorised representative of the Catholic Schools Office.

 

Referees – Your referees need to be people who can comment on your character and/or teaching abilities. Please note the people listed will be contacted. (Questions 30 – 33)

 

Once your application, supporting documents and referee reports have been assessed, a decision will be made on your suitability for employment. If successful a casual contract of employment will be issued.  This contract needs to be signed and returned, prior to you being added to the casual register. An email will be sent advising you of this.
